D3 Publisher has announced Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 for Switch.

The game is a sequel to Earth Defense Force: World Brothers, a voxel based spin-off of the Earth Defense Force series. It will once again take place in the parallel Earth made out of blocks, introducing a new foe called the Gaiark as well as adding six classes from Earth Defense Force 6. At the time of this writing, the game has only been confirmed for Japan via Famitsu, and it is not known if it will receive a Western release.
