Earlier this week, several major Japanese retailers started taking pre-orders for the Eevee Tamagotchi, scheduled to launch on January 26, 2019.
The Eevee Tamagotchi comes in two outer shells – I Love Eevee version and Colorful Friends version. It seems that due to the great popularity and high demand for both versions, pre-orders instantly sold out across retailers in Japan.
Bic Camera, for instance, closed pre-orders in about 15 minutes after they went live. Similar things happened at retailers such as Aeon, Nojima Online, and Yodobashi Camera. Not every retailer has put up listings for the Eevee Tamagotchi yet.
Hopefully, Bandai will consider making more of these to ensure demand will be fulfilled.
