Today we have some bad news for Eevee and Tamagotchi fans.
Eevee X Tamagotchi, which launched a few days ago in Japan, appears to have been discontinued. NintendoSoup has confirmed this information with a Japanese distributor, who says there are no plans to take future orders.
This is pretty much bad news for everyone as Eevee X Tamagotchi is one of the largest Tamagotchi releases in Japan. Eevee X Tamagotchi sold out in less than 15 minutes at many Japanese retailers during the pre-order period last year. Whatever that’s left on the shelves in Japan is all that’s left for consumers to scoop up.
In case you missed it, NintendoSoup Store is still carrying Eevee X Tamagotchi, both the I Love Eevee and Colorful Friends versions. Prices are likely to increase in the future.
