To celebrate the changing of seasons, an equinox event will be taking place in Pokemon GO.
The equinox event is planned to start on September 22, 2017 (1pm PDT) and it will end on October 2, 2017 (1pm PDT).
During the event, trainers will be able to earn double Stardust for catching Pokemon and hatching eggs. PokeStops and Gyms will also be dispensing “special 2km eggs”, which hatches Pokemon such as Chansey, Mareep, and Larvitar.
In addition, special boxes featuring items such as Lucky Eggs and Super Incubators will be sold on the in-game shop. Registering a Pokemon on the Pokedex during the period of the event will net trainers three times more experience points.
