During a recent livestream, SEGA and Atlus revealed some special bonus content for Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection.
Firstly, pre-orders and early purchases of the collection will net players an Atlus Collaboration Adventurer Illustration Pack. This DLC will add portraits featuring characters from other SEGA and Atlus games. The three Etrian Odyssey titles included in the collection will get two unique costumes each, as follows:
- Etrian Odyssey: Ringo from Soul Hackers 2 and Joker from Persona 5
- Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard: Demi-fiend from Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne and Teddie from Persona 4
- Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City: Nahobino from Shin Megami Tensei V or Aigis from Persona 3
According to the official website, these costumes will also be available to players who decide to purchase each game individually, although they will only get the ones tied to their specific game.
In addition, it was announced that the firs run Japanese physical release of the collection will include a physical stylus. This will allow players to draw and mark out maps of the game’s dungeons, the same way they would in the original DS versions of the games. Unlike the DLC costumes, it is not known whether this physical release of the game will eventually be released in the west.
Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection launches June 1st 2023 for Switch.
