Nintendo has surprise announced Everybody 1-2-Switch! for the Switch.
The game is a follow-up to the launch title 1-2-Switch!, a party game where players enjoyed various mini-games using the joy-cons. The sequel looks to be more of the same, except adding on compatibility with smart devices. It is planned to launch on June 30th 2023 for the Switch.
Notably, this game appears to be the supposedly canned 1-2 Switch sequel that was rumored about last year, right down to the mascot being a man in a horse mask and the use of smartphones. According to the rumors, this game did so poorly in playtesting that Nintendo employees feared it would “damage the company’s reputation as a great software developer” if released. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
