F-ZERO 99 players can now dive into more breakneck content starting from today!
Nintendo has released a new 1.4.0 update for the online battle royale racing game. This time, the update adds tons of new features such as computer-controlled “Star Rivals” festival tracks, expanded team battles, and more.
Here is more information about the updates, from Nintendo:
New content has sped its way to the F-ZERO™ 99 game at no additional cost! If you haven’t tried it yet, F-ZERO 99 is a futuristic racing game exclusive for Nintendo Switch Online members. It takes quick reflexes and survival instincts as 99 players boost and bash their way to the finish line…if they make it to the finish line.
As part of the 1.4.0 update, members can enjoy a new festival event (complete with festival-themed versions of courses), a separate event leaderboard, computer-controlled racers called “Star Rivals,” gameplay adjustments, and more.
Oh, and one could say that the most emotive update is the addition of…emotes. Try holding the L or R Button and then pressing the A, B, X, or Y Buttons at the start of a race (or while spectating).
It’s quite possible that your game already updated itself, but you can also check for yourself. Just highlight the game icon from the HOME Menu on your Nintendo Switch™ console, press the + Button, and select Software Update (internet connection required).
