Longtime F-Zero and Star Fox fans will no doubt know about Takaya Imamura – the man behind the iconic art styles of both franchises early on. Well, folks will be able to relive the magic of Imamura’s imagination in a different way soon!
Following his departure from Nintendo last year, Imamura has revealed OMEGA 6: THE VIDEO GAME – a new retro futuristic text adventure based on his own recently released manga OMEGA 6. Currently, the game is slated for a 2023 release and it will be heading to Nintendo Switch.
The game’s artwork will be handled by Imamura, while its development will be managed by studio Happymeal (who have previously developed the Mystery Guide series). Here are some preview shots below:
While the game will feature OMEGA 6 protagonists Thunder and Kyle, it will also have its own original story separate from the manga.
We’ll report back if we hear more in the future. Stay tuned!
