Famitsu And Dengeki To Merge On October 1

Huge news for gamers living in Japan – Famitsu and Dengeki, two of the largest video game magazines and websites in Japan, are about to merge.

Kadokawa, owner of the Famitsu brand, will merge the Dengeki Game Media editorial department into a consolidated subsidiary called GzBrain on October 1, 2019.

Currently, it is unclear whether both brands will still operate under their respective umbrellas or Dengeki will vanish and completely be absorbed into Famitsu.
