Japanese magazine Famitsu has published their latest sales data for the Switch in Japan.
According to their data, the Switch has now sold over 25 million units (25,010,404 units) in Japan as of June 12th 2022. Out of these units, around 18.4 million were for the regular Switch (18,379,851 units), 4.8 million were for the Switch Lite (4,754,257 units), and 1.9 million were for the OLED model (1,876,296).
Famitsu also published updated figures for the Top 5 best selling Switch games in Japan based on physical sales. The list has largely remained unchanged from the previous, with Animal Crossing: New Horizons sitting at the top, followed by Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe:
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Nintendo): 7 621 929 units sold
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Nintendo): 4 895 873 units sold
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Nintendo): 4 664 614 units sold
- Pokémon Sword and Shield (The Pokémon Company): 4 345 336 units sold
- Splatoon 2 (Nintendo): 4 086 738 units sold
