Fan Art: How The Movie Version Of Sonic The Hedgehog Could Look Like

Earlier this week, the Sonic the Hedgehog film received its first preview – showing off a silhouette of the character’s CGI appearance. While many fans are skeptical about the hedgehog’s uncanny redesign, one artist is wholly embracing the idea of a humanoid sonic.

Comic artist Dave Rapoza took a stab at guessing how movie Sonic might look like, with a hilariously suave portrait on Twitter. While certainly unconventional, it’s not a bad attempt at all!

Unsurprisingly, Rapoza’s followers are now calling his drawing better than anything the actual movie will accomplish.

“The problem here being you made him look amazing.”

“If the design actually looks like this, then I’ll take it.”

“Your drawing is probably 100 times better than what will be on the actual film lol.”

“This actually looks cool, what the hell dude.”

In hindsight, SEGA should probably have hired Rapoza to help design the Sonic movie instead. We’ll just have to see how the film performs when it launches in theaters next year.
