Fan Art: Persona 5’s Joker Strikes Up A Friendship With Bowser

Persona 5’s Joker could be bringing more than just his slick Phantom Thief moves to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Haniwa, the infamous artist behind the Bowsette trend, recently explored how Joker would interact with the Smash cast. This comes after Friday’s announcement that the Persona 5 protagonist would be heading to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as its first DLC fighter.

In particular, the artist drew up a heartwarming series about Joker forming a Confidant relationship with Bowser himself.

Check out all three comic strips below.

For those unaware, the confidant system is a crucial mechanic in Persona 5. It allows players to form friendships with other characters and boost certain categories of personas. While it’s unlikely that Joker as a DLC character will feature Confidants in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it certainly doesn’t hurt to dream about it for fun!
