Fan-Artist Reimagines Pokemon Scarlet/Violet With Classic Ken Sugimori Artstyle

A few weeks back, we shared an impressive work of fan-art by @pokeyugami, who created a mock trailer imagining what a 3D Pokemon game might look like if it was based on the classic artwork Ken Sugimori drew for the original Pokemon games.

Since then, @pokeyugami has uploaded more mock-ups of the concept, including a video which takes the most recently announced Pokemon games Scarlet And Violet and translates them into this style. The result is another very impressive video which shows what modern Pokemon games could have looked like if they had continued to use the classic style of illustration:

What do you think? Would you prefer a modern Pokemon game which uses this retro aesthetic? Let us know in the comments.
