Fan Mod Adds Custom Characters, Mario Kart 7 & 8 Race Courses Into Mario Kart DS

The classic Mario Kart DS is now getting the deluxe treatment it sorely deserves, thanks to one dedicated modder.

YouTuber Mega R Games recently released a mod which adds new race courses and characters into the older Mario Kart entry. While the custom characters (Sonic, Crash, and more) are nothing new in the modding scene – the new race courses include fantastic re-creations of Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart 8 tracks!

This is definitely an impressive effort, and the mod almost makes Mario Kart DS look like a totally different game. While we won’t be posting download links for the mod, you can find them somewhere in the video’s description.
