Yesterday, after the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct ended, Tom Nook took over every single official Animal Crossing Twitter account, replacing long-time favorite Isabelle as its spokesperson.
Unlike Isabelle, Tom Nook is a character that many Animal Crossing fans dislike, because he saddles everyone with hundreds of thousands of bells in debt. So it wasn’t surprising to see how fans reacted to him taking over the Twitter account:
“What the hell did you do to Isabelle you twisted f***”
“tom nook what have you done to isabelle”
“ISABELLE IS DEAD”
“Oh wait why did you change photo This one was better”
“WHAT!!!? You think you can just just randomly start running this account, when Isabelle worked so hard to gain this following!!? I still have some very important things to talk to her about!”
