After much deliberation here and there by EA on whether or not the full Fifa 18 will arrive on Switch, they have finally made a decision. In their E3 press conference, EA Sports have confirmed that Fifa 18 will come to the Switch despite having one major feature cut.
Not launching with Switch’s Fifa 18 is the story mode, The Journey 2: Hunter returns. This is most likely because Switch’s Fifa 18 will not ship with the Frostbite engine.
However, all other game modes that appear on competing consoles and PC will be in the Switch version.
Best of all, Fifa 18 will run at 720p while in handheld mode or table-top mode and a full 1080p while in docked mode. Joycon local multiplayer is supported in competitive game modes and multiple Switches can be linked up for a greater multiplayer experience. This is a full console-grade multiplayer Fifa game that you can take with you anytime, anywhere.
