Square Enix has announced the new release date for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition on Switch in Japan.
After being delayed from its original January release date, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is now scheduled to launch on August 27 for Switch in Japan. At the time of this writing, it is unknown whether this new release date also applies to the Western release of the game.
In addition, Square Enix also confirmed the following new additions to the game:
- “Imitate” system, which allows players to change their appearance and voice in battle to that of one of the sub-characters that appear in the story by collecting certain items.
- Also works in multiplayer.
- Online multiplayer and cross-platform support.
- Addition of a “High-Difficulty Dungeon & Boss” unlocked after clearing the game.
- Addition of new character variatons, equipment, and upgrade items for each race.
- Newly recorded narration and theme songs “Kazenone” and “Hoshizukiyo” by Yae.
- Newly recorded character voices.
