Earlier today, a brand new update for Fire Emblem Heroes was released to Android users. iOS users, however, were left in the dark as Nintendo had to work to fix an “unexpected issue” before being allowed to make the patch live.
Turns out that unexpected issue is something that’s not only plaguing Fire Emblem Heroes, but other popular mobile gacha games such as Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and The Alchemist’s Code.
Today is actually the day Apple’s lootbox requirements were supposed to go into effect. These new requirements require developers to clearly state the rates or probability of winning an item in gacha/lootbox minigames. As Fire Emblem Heroes doesn’t meet Apple’s new requirements yet, the patch has been put on hold.
