NintendoSoup has a special report about the Fire Emblem: Three Houses Fódlan Collection and Astral Chain Collector’s Edition in Japan.
We have spoken to various sources in the Japanese supply chain, and have found something interesting about the two Collector’s Edition releases above. Multiple sources have shared with NintendoSoup that the production run for both Collector’s Editions are “very large”, as they have received large allocations for both Collector’s Editions.
This is good news to the retailers and fans residing in Japan. One retailer has told us that pre-orders for the Fire Emblem: Three Houses Fodlan Collection are very high, and they are glad they didn’t sell out immediately and expect to continue selling even up till launch.
The large allocation for both Collector’s Edition releases has also deterred scalpers, another plus for the collectors and gamers living in Japan. The large production run shows how Nintendo has drastically improved their sales forecasting after acquiring Japanese Nintendo distributor Jesnet.
