Although 2019’s Pokemon World Championships has long concluded two months ago, we have been informed that a historic milestone was set by the Taiwanese at the championships this year.
2019’s World Championships marks the first time where a Pokemon player from Taiwan won the championships. 10 year old Pi Wu, who lives in Taiwan, became the Junior World Champion in 2019’s video game championships.
Pi Wu won USD10,000 and brought home a Pikachu trophy. He’s also appeared at the 54th Golden Bell Awards in Taiwan today, entertaining the audience:
