It’s no mystery that Nintendo fans have been less than satisfied with the Switch Online subscription service for some time – with numerous reports of bad connectivity and lousy ping. This is no different for those trying to enjoy online battles in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – and it looks like many of them have finally had enough.
Several hours ago, both prominent names and regular folks of the Super Smash Bros. community took to Twitter with the hashtag #FixUltimateOnline – protesting the game’s netcode and requesting Nintendo to address such issues. Here are just a few samplings of their grouses:
Eventually, the combined voices of these complaints pushed this tag to the top of trending several hours ago – with as many as 11,000+ tweets calling Nintendo out for their lackluster online service.
One can only ponder how Nintendo is reacting to all of this dissent right now. We’ll report back if the situation develops further in the future.
