Former NoA President Reggie Fils-Aimé Steps Down From Gamestop’s Board Of Directors

Last year, we reported that former Nintendo Of America President Reggie Fils-Aimé had joined Gamestop’s board of directors.

Today, less than one year after he joined, we now have news that Reggie will be leaving the board after Gamestop’s annual meeting in June. This news comes via a GameStop filing, which revealed that Fils-Aimé is one of eight board members who will be stepping down, including former Activision executive Kathy Vrabeck. In the filing, Gamestop notes that the departure of these members is “not because of a disagreement relating to operations, policies or practices”.

Although Reggie has plenty of other projects to fall back on, his exit from Gamestop relatively soon after coming on board does raise a few eyebrows. That said, it is unlikely we will ever fully know exactly what happened behind the scenes which led to his departure along with the other seven members.
