Nintendo has updated its Nintendo Switch backward compatibility issues page for Nintendo Switch 2.
A PDF file on the website has updated the status on two Nintendo Switch games with issues running on Nintendo Switch 2. Epic Games has confirmed with Nintendo that a native version of Fortnite will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 to address these issues. Another game, Fitness Boxing, will receive a free update to resolve the issues its facing on Switch 2.
As for when the Switch 2 version of Fortnite will be released, we will have to wait for more information from Epic Games.
Aside from Fortnite and Fitness Boxing, Nintendo plans to provide the next update to the backward compatibility list in May 2025.
