Fortnite Launches June 5 On Nintendo Switch 2

The Japanese My Nintendo Store has confirmed the release date and specifications for Fortnite on Nintendo Switch 2 ahead of an official announcement from Epic Games.

Fortnite is scheduled to launch for free on June 5, 2025 via Nintendo eShop, the same day as the console’s release. Similar to the Nintendo Switch version, Fortnite will support TV Mode, Tabletop Mode, and Handheld Mode. It will also support touchscreen controls.

Unlike the Nintendo Switch version which does not support Save Data Cloud Backup, Save Data Cloud Backup is supported on Nintendo Switch 2. And similarly to the Nintendo Switch version you can battle up to 100 players online.

Supported languages are as follows:

Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Simplified Chinese
