French Pokemon Fan’s Dream To Collect Pokemon Green Broadcast On National TV

Today we have a very interesting piece of news to share with you about a French Pokemon fan’s journey to Japan that has been broadcast on Japanese national TV.

The French Pokemon fan appeared on the show “Why Did You Come To Japan?” which follows tourists around Japan to find out what they’re up to. They encountered this French Pokemon fan on the street:

When asked why she came to Japan, she said her primary objective was to find an authentic copy of Pokemon Green.

Pokemon Green was only released for the Game Boy in Japan and never made it to the west. Instead of Pokemon Green, the west had Pokemon Blue.

The Pokemon fan calls Pokemon Green an “very elusive” game.

The team behind the TV show followed the French collector to a retro game store at Nihonbashi, Tokyo. She hopes to find the game she has been looking for for years.

By a stroke of luck, she found it! It was the last one they had at the store.

“I didn’t believe I would ever be able to purchase the real thing.”

“My years-long dream has finally been fulfilled.”
