Getting too caught up in chasing that Victory Royale in Fortnite? Well, you might want to slow down and chill out in the land of Hyrule!
French psychologist Michaël Stora, who calls himself a ‘psygamer’, has reportedly dealt with teenage Fortnite addicts referred to him in a very peculiar way – by letting them play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild instead!
In a recent video interview over here, Stora states that the open-world game acted as a therapeutic counter to highly competitive Fortnite matches. Namely, the wide spaces of the game offered his patients the opportunity for calm contemplation – while also confronting them with a personal quest to destroy the evil Ganon, rather than just gunning down other Fortnite players.
While not everyone may agree with Stora’s methods, the man does have around 20 years of experience in treating young people with behavioral disorders – alogn with working as a consultant with gaming giants like Microsoft, Activision, SEGA, and more. His bizarre solution of using The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to treatment Fortnite-mania seems to have a lot of thought put into it, and we find it hard to dispute!
But what do YOU think? Would you recommend The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to someone who needs to slow down their online gaming habits? Feel free to chime in with your comments below!
