During Anime Expo 2019, CyberConnect2 finally revealed more release plans for its strategy tank title FUGA – which it showcased earlier this year in Japan.
For starters, the title now has an official English title – Fuga: Melodies of Steel. Unfortunately, the RPG will not release for Nintendo Switch and other consoles until Early 2020, so fans will have to wait awhile longer.
Fuga: Melodies of Steel takes place in the same universe as Solatorobo and Tail Concerto. Set in a world inspired by World War II France, it follows 11 children who pilot a giant war tank to save their families. According to CyberConnect2, the story will contain 12 chapters and multiple endings. When players die, they will restart from the first chapter – but retain all their experience.
The tank itself contains a super weapon, but using it requires the sacrifice of one child. In order to get the best ending, players must ensure all 11 children survive until the end.
That’s all the info we received for now. While we await more details, check out some English gameplay footage below, courtesy of @RPGSite.
