Today, Nintendo published the Q&A session for investors at the briefing for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2019.
Although we have already covered most of the interesting points from the Q&A a few weeks ago, there are some questions and answers that still stand out. An investor asked how Nintendo Switch would be positioned for its third year. Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa believes that sales for both hardware and software will continue to improve in 2019 and “will not peak out”.
Here are his full words:
As Nintendo Switch enters its third year since launch, I understand that some people might worry the hardware is going to peak out. But looking at the momentum of Nintendo Switch since the start of the year, that is absolutely not the case, and we made our financial projections based on the expectation that sales of both hardware and software will continue to grow. I would like it if our financial results outperform the forecast by selling even more hardware and software.
