Earlier this week, a Nintendo PR spokesperson commented that Nintendo Switch production is finally returning to normal, and shortages should soon disappear in the next few months.
This point has been further elaborated by Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa during the company’s 80th annual general meeting of shareholders. Furukawa said that production levels have been recovering since June 2020, and are expected to stabilize by this summer. He also told an investor during the Q&A that due to “time lag”, shortages will take awhile to subside.
