Game Freak Shares A Message Celebrating Pokemon’s 23rd Anniversary

Game Freak, one of the three companies that started work on the Pokemon franchise, has shared their thoughts on the 23rd anniversary of Pokemon.

First, Game Freak took a photo of the congratulatory flowers they received from The Pokemon Company which include Pikachu and Eevee plushies:

Here is what Game Freak said (translated by NintendoSoup):

Today, February 27, 2019, marks 23 years since February 27, 1996, the day Pokemon Red and Green launched in Japan.

We as a company are deeply moved by this day, and are humbled by everyone’s support. We truly thank you for your support.

Game Freak will continue to make enjoyable games that are fun for everyone. Please extend your greatest support to us!

* This year we received some very pretty flowers from The Pokemon Company. Pikachu and Eevee came with the flowers. We have placed these nice smelling flowers at the entrance of our office. Thank you!

Besides Game Freak, Junichi Masuda has also shared his thoughts a couple of hours ago.
