Game Freak’s Move To New Building Sparks Speculations Of Nintendo Acquiring The Studio

Today we have a very interesting piece of news to share with you about Game Freak, the developers of Pokemon, and Nintendo.

A few days ago, Nintendo announced they would be consolidating their four Tokyo offices into one mega office at Kanda Square. A report from 2019 stated that the company seems to be occupying the 8th, 20th, and 21st floors.

A Nikkei report on January 31 also revealed that Game Freak is moving to Kanda Square, the same building as Nintendo’s new Tokyo office. This has led to speculation that Game Freak could be acquired by Nintendo in the near future, hence the move to the same building. Keep in mind this could all be just a coincidence.
