Game Freak’s Pocket Card Jockey Could Come To Switch Depending On Apple Arcade Port’s Reception

Earlier this week, Game Freak released Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On! for the Apple Arcade, a port of the solitaire horse racing mashup game the company originally released for the 3DS.

Although it was somewhat disappointing that the cult classic title was not also re-released for Switch, this could become a possibility in the future. In an interview with Polygon, Game Freak programmer Masao Taya mentioned that a Switch version hasn’t been ruled out, although it would depend on the reaction Pocket Card Jockey receives on Apple Arcade.

“Asked about the possibility of a Nintendo Switch version, Taya says he’s focused on getting feedback from Apple Arcade users and delivering updates for the time being, but he doesn’t rule it out. ‘We want to see the reaction we get and then we’ll think about the next step.'”

Stay tuned for more details as they come.
