Racing game Gear.Club Unlimited, which is making the jump from smartphone to Nintendo Switch, will not support micro-transactions on the Switch version of the game.
During an interview with Red Bull Games, Eden Games COO Pascal Clarysse told the site that Gear.Club Unlimited will be a fully fledged and premium experience on Nintendo Switch. It will also support DLC on a later date.
The game will make full use of the Nintendo Switch capabilities, delivering higher definition graphics, visual effects, and split-screen multiplayer. Eden Games is aiming to lock the game in at 1080p when docked and 720p in Handheld Mode, and have guaranteed the game will run on at least 30 fps.
Eden Games is also hard at work in ensuring that the cars in Gear.Club Unlimited match up as realistically as possible to the real thing.
“We work very closely with all manufacturers to make sure we replicate their models accurately,” Clarysse says. “And as you can expect, they are demanding about accuracy. In fact, there are some car manufacturers with whom we have forged relationships over many years and multiple titles, always getting one level deeper into the tiny details that make a difference.”
Gear.Club Unlimited is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch in December 2017.
