GEO, one of the most famous retailers in Japan, has made an important announcement to their customers.
The company has decided that they will not be opening pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing: New Horizons Set at their retail locations and online store. Instead, they will host a lottery to determine who will win a chance to purchase the product.
The rationale behind this is because they are expecting there wouldn’t be enough stock to go around, and they believe there would be huge shortages in Japan.
Thankfully though, Nintendo has plans to make more for the Japanese market in the future, so the shortages will probably end after the coronavirus outbreak subsides.
