This week, The Pokemon Company revealed the first and official real world Geodude mascot in Japan.
As Geodude doesn’t have any legs in the Pokemon anime, The Pokemon Company had to find a way to “hide” the legs of the human performer inside the mascot, and they approached this with a gray and white checkered box pattern similar to how transparent layers look like in Photoshop.
Thanks to that a whole slew of fan art and memes depicting various Pokemon with the “transparent layer” legs have spread on the Internet. Check them out below:
