Guide: Here’s The Full List Of Returning Pokemon In Pokemon Scarlet/Violet

As with other modern games in the series, Pokemon Scarlet And Violet will only feature a limited selection of old Pokemon at launch.

Dataminers have now confirmed that there will be 297 Pokemon will be returning in the base game for Scarlet/Violet, along with a few more Pokemon and forms that are in the data but not obtainable in the wild.

There are a few interesting observations about this list:

• Pokemon in Bold are not attainable in the wild or listed in the Regional Pokedex, and will presumably be made available through transference from Pokemon HOME, or in the case of Charizard, only obtainable via special events.
  • 76 Normal Pokemon
  • 33 Regional Forms
• Out of the 297 returning Pokemon available to catch in the game.
  • Generation VIII has the highest number at 67, bolstered by Hisuian Pokemon from Legends Arceus
  • Generation VII has the lowest at 29
