No Man’s Sky has come a long way from its initial poor state on release, and is actually something people enjoy playing now. Question is, will Switch owners get a chance to experience what this updated version has to offer too?
Speaking to Gameinformer, Sean Murray of Hello Games seemed quite open to the idea. That said, it seems the team wants to focus on their current project of optimizing the game for VR.
Murray: “It’s super interesting. I love the Switch. We’re obviously very focused on what we’re doing right now, but we have done a lot of work for PSVR to optimize the game. So I’d be interested to see what’s possible. But at the moment, we’re just very focused on what we’re doing right now.”
Given the wording of his statement, it seems Murray is taking great care to manage expectations for a potential Switch version of No Man’s Sky. This is understandable given that making too many promises played a big part in the initial poor reception of the title. We will be sure to bring another update should Hello Games decide to take the plunge and bring No Man’s Sky to Switch.
