During today’s special Super Nintendo World Japan Direct, Shigeru Miyamoto gave fans a new preview of what they’ll see when first walking into the theme park!
First, visitors will find themselves moving through a giant warp pipe, along with lighted lines to give the effect of moving through it! As the videogames have never really shown players how it looks like inside green pipes, this will be the first time visitors will get to experience the interior of one!
Following this, visitors will arrive at the interior foyer of Peach’s Castle – a very familiar sight for Super Mario 64 players! It even has the sun-pattern design on the floor, and a portrait of Bomb-omb Battlefield from the game. The portrait is holographic, and reveals Bowser Jr. as one walks across it.
Finally, when one steps out into the park, they emerge from the entrance of Peach’s Castle itself! Peach’s stained glass portrait is even visible above the entrance.
You can check out this entire walkthrough by Miyamoto in English below. (starts from 0:30)
