The official Nintendo website has provided information on how friends are handled on Nintendo Switch 2.
The friend system has stayed the same on Nintendo Switch 2. Each user can add up to 300 friends – that’s the same limit as Nintendo Switch. In addition, friend codes from Nintendo Switch have been carried over from Nintendo Switch 2 (friend codes on both systems start with ‘SW-‘), so you don’t have to worry about getting a new friend code.
And just like on Nintendo Switch, safety features such as removing friends and blocking users are possible on Nintendo Switch 2.
