During Nintendo’s 78th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, the company’s financial disclosures revealed how much sales were generated by Nintendo’s subsidiaries in Japan and abroad from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018.
Nintendo Sales Co, Ltd, a Japanese distributor Nintendo owns 70% of, made 211 billion yen (USD1.9 billion) in sales. Nintendo of America generated the most sales out of all Nintendo’s subsidiaries – a whopping 377 billion yen (USD3.4 billion).
Meanwhile, Nintendo of Europe had 235 billion yen (USD2.1 billion) of sales, while Nintendo Hong Kong made 35 billion yen (USD315 million). This means Nintendo of America made 10 times more than Nintendo Hong Kong.
