Pokemon Unite includes a number of settings and features for a more customizable gameplay experience, most of which the game does not tell the player outright.
One of these options is the ability to permanently enable 60 FPS mode. By default, Pokemon Unite will only run at 60 FPS when it is in docked mode, and drops the FPS to 30 in handheld mode due to the lower clocked CPU. However, players who want their game to run at a smooth 60 FPS at all times can enable it by following these steps:
- Step 1: Press X on the homescreen and select “Settings”.
- Step 2: Scroll to System Settings and change “Frame Rate” to High.
- Step 3: A Pop-up will appear to warn the player that this is not recommended, press “Confirm” to set the Frame Rate to High.
- Step 4: Press B to go back, and confirm the settings again if prompted.
The game will now run at 60 FPS regardless of whether it is docked or handheld, which can be confirmed in game by looking at the FPS tracker on the top left of the screen.
