Earlier this week, we shared with you The World Ends with You: Final Remix is not compatible with the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. Some were not convinced based on what we’ve found.
Today, various members of the Japanese press have shared their impressions of the game, and most importantly its control scheme.
In Handheld Mode, the only way you can play is by using your finger on the touchscreen, similar to how things worked in the DS release. Button controls are not supported in Handheld Mode.
Whereas in TV and Tabletop Mode, you’ll be required to use a pair of Joy-Con to move the pointer and slash enemies. For example, players will move their character on screen by using the analog stick on one Joy-Con, while the other Joy-Con acts as the pointer through motion controls.
As the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller cannot be separated into two controllers, it is impossible to use it to play The World Ends with You: Final Remix.
