Here’s The Backstory Behind Porting Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy To Switch

During E3 2018, Nintendo World Report sat down with Vicarious Visions to talk about Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, heading to Nintendo Switch on June 29.

A software engineer working at Vicarious Visions (the developers of N. Sane Trilogy) wondered if Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was capable of running on Nintendo Switch. While we do not know who this engineer is, it’s mentioned that he is a big fan of Nintendo Switch.

Tests were conducted to make the first level run, and it was successful. Thus Vicarious Visions realized porting Crash Bandicoot to Nintendo Switch was feasible and the rest is all history.

Vicarious Visions also revealed that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has received some graphical improvements in the Switch version of the game, which isn’t found in the PS4 version. The game runs at 30 frames per second (same as the PS4 version) and load times have been reduced.
