Dataminers have discovered the internal code name Nintendo uses for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.
The Switch release of the game is called “KinopioS”. Kinopio stands for Toad in Japanese. If you’re wondering why the S is there, it probably stands for Switch, as the code name for the original Wii U release is “Kinopio”.
Another game that follows a similar code name naming scheme is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s code name is “TurboS” while its Wii U predecessor, Mario Kart 8, is called “Turbo”.
