Similar to many other Nintendo games, players who have save data from Breath Of The Wild will get something special when they start playing the sequel Tears Of The Kingdom.
The special bit of progress that transfers over from Breath Of The Wild to Tears Of The Kingdom is relatively minor, and does not have a very profound impact on gameplay. Nevertheless, its something that many Breath Of The Wild players will appreciate when they start their journey in Tears Of The Kingdom. You can find out what it is after the spoiler warning below:
If players have save data from Breath Of The Wild on their Switch, all of the Horses that they have registered in the game will transfer over to Tears Of The Kingdom, including bond levels.
They will be available automatically upon reaching the first stable in Tears Of The Kingdom, allowing players to start off with some good horses without needing to go out and tame more. Only horses from Breath Of The Wild‘s base game save data will transfer over, and not Master Mode.
