Last August, Capcom brought Monster Hunter XX to Nintendo Switch in Japan. It’s only a year later gamers living in the west will finally be getting their hands on Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. So why did it take so long?
Shintaro Kojima, the producer of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, explains that they were initially working on Monster Hunter: World after wrapping up Monster Hunter XX: Nintendo Switch Version. But since there’s so much demand from the west, they decided to work on it. This would also mean Capcom initially had no plans to bring it to the west, at least before Monster Hunter XX’s Japanese release.
