Nicalis, Inc. today announced that HyperParasite, an infinitely replayable twin-stick shooter/brawler from developer Troglobytes Games, is getting a physical release for Nintendo Switch on February 19, 2021. Fans can preorder the physical edition starting today at store.nicalis.com.
It’s entirely fitting that HyperParasite should be released in physical form, as the game’s aesthetic is deeply rooted in the 1980s, when every game had a physical edition. The collectible package features over-the-top artwork with neon highlights and includes a full-color instruction manual along with a reversible cover insert.
HyperParasite is a rogue-lite twin-stick shooter/brawler with procedurally generated levels, so it never plays the same twice. As a body-snatching alien parasite with a grudge against humanity, players can collect and control 60 different characters, each with different stats, weapons and special attacks. Team up with another parasite in two-player cooperative mode and fight to the top of the food chain: Possess the President, push the Big Red Button and one-up the human race.
The physical edition of HyperParasite for Nintendo Switch will be available on February 19, 2021 for $39.99 MSRP
