During Image & Form’s latest episode of The Engine Room, the company talked about SteamWorld Quest, their upcoming RPG for the SteamWorld series.
In the video, Image & Form reconfirmed there wouldn’t be any multiplayer aspects in the game as SteamWorld Quest is a single player game.
On the topic of the cards that appear in the game, Image & Form revealed they created simple prototype cards during development to test out the card game’s rules and mechanics. They figured out the cards “worked like any card game” and didn’t rule out having these cards turned into physical trading cards in the future.
Last but not least, Image & Form confirmed SteamWorld Quest wouldn’t include any loot boxes, microtransactions, or Day One DLC. But if people “love the game a lot”, they will “hurry as hell” to create DLC for it.
