Last year, Ikumi Nakamura, a member of Okami‘s original development team, teased a possible return for the series alongside Platinum Games’ Hideki Kamiya, who worked alongside her as Okami‘s director.
In a recent interview with IGN Japan, Nakamura once again voiced her interest in creating a new Okami game. Specifically, she plans to pitch the idea to Capcom when things “return to normal”, preferably with Kamiya as director once more. Nakamura believes that Capcom will be willing to greenlight a sequel to Okami so long as she “goes after it”.
