Interesting news from Japan – it seems that Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is cheaper to purchase physically than digitally on Nintendo Switch 2.
The retail price for the physical version is 9,328 yen, while the digital version costs 9,878 yen. This is all the more made impressive by the fact that the entire game comes on a Game Card rather than a Game-Key Card, as Game-Key Cards make up the majority of Switch 2 physical releases put out by third party publishers.
Outside Japan, Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is going for the same price (USD69.99) physically and digitally. It is currently unclear why the physical version is cheaper than the digital version in Japan, especially when it is the opposite for Nintendo’s first-party releases in Europe, Japan, and Asia.
